About this event

DisruptHR Buffalo returns on October 7, 2026, bringing together HR professionals, business leaders, people leaders, consultants and workplace innovators from across Buffalo and Western New York.

Taking place at The Barrel Factory, the event combines networking with a series of fast-paced, five-minute talks exploring new ideas and approaches to HR, leadership, talent, technology, employee experience and the future of work.

DisruptHR is an information exchange designed to energize, inform and empower executives, business leaders and people working in and around HR. Each speaker gets just five minutes to share an idea, challenge conventional thinking or offer a fresh perspective on how we can build better workplaces.

The evening begins with networking from 5:00 PM, followed by event introductions with LaTashia Martin and Carolyn Case.

Speakers and contributors include Laura Azzarella, President at Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association (BNHRA); Jodi Rzepka, HR Manager at Spectrum (Charter Communications); Carlette Bradley, Employee Experience Manager at Excellus BCBS; Brian Tucker, Director, Human Resources at Elior North America; Mel Lauricella, Senior Human Resources Manager at Safran; Eren Ikiz, Founder at Improva Inc.; and Austin Martin, Outreach Specialist at Northland Workforce Training Center.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear what local leaders and workplace innovators are doing to improve the employee experience, discover new approaches to HR and business challenges, and connect with professionals from across the region.
